Currently we're seeking a skilled and experienced In-House Lawyer (middle level) to join our legal team. As an In-House Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice, conducting legal research, and ensuring compliance with corporate and contract law.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support the company on matters related to corporate law, contract law, and other legal areas pertinent to venture capital investments and fintech projects.
  • Do legal research and prepare reviews, memos, opinions on different legal matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal terms for investment deals.
  • Conduct legal due diligence for potential investment opportunities and assist in structuring mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and address any legal issues that may arise.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legal developments and industry trends, especially in the rapidly evolving blockchain and WEB3 ecosystem.
  • Assist in managing legal risks associated with investments and provide legal guidance to the company's executives and stakeholders.
  • Be engaged in IP and Data Protection matters, including drafting and negotiating licensing agreements, registering trademarks, advising on GDPR compliance, and conducting IP due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent from a reputable university. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience of 3-5 years working as a corporate lawyer, with a strong focus on contract and corporate law.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate law, contract law, intellectual property and relevant regulations in the context of venture capital investments and blockchain projects.
  • Familiarity with WEB3 and blockchain technologies, and a keen interest in the crypto and decentralized finance (DeFi) space.
  • Solid experience in M&A structuring and transactions under English or US law, ideally within the fintech or blockchain industry.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with international stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal solutions.
  • Highly adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
