We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our data platform team. In this role, you will architect, build, and evolve platform components that power analytics and insights across multiple products and teams.

This position is ideal for experienced engineers skilled in both Data (Software) Engineering and operational disciplines (DevOps and CloudOps), who excel at building robust, reliable data solutions. You are passionate about building foundations that enable others to unlock the full value of their data.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement core data platform components from the ground up or evolve existing systems as needed.
• Build and develop robust data solutions, including data pipelines and services.
• Establish comprehensive observability, monitoring, and alerting systems for data workflows.
• Advocate for and facilitate adoption of best practices in data engineering and analytics across the company.
• Mentor, upskill, and guide engineers and analysts through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration.

Requirements:

• Fluency in Python.
• Proficiency with Bash and strong command of SQL.
• Expertise in development tools and techniques, including git, IDEs, and CI/CD processes.
• Deep expertise in data engineering concepts, practices, and tools.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and K8s for orchestration.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP(preferred), AWS or Azure.
• Demonstrated leadership, ownership, and proactive communication in managing complex projects and overcoming technical challenges.
• Regular and thoughtful use of AI tools.

Nice to have:

• Proficiency with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow (preferred), Dagster, or Prefect.
• Knowledge of building solutions using LLMs and related frameworks (e.g., LangChain, n8n).
• Track record in designing and implementing data observability processes.
• Experience developing and managing comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems.
• Familiarity with IaC tools, such as Terraform.
• Hands-on background building solutions using real-time data streaming platforms, such as Apache Kafka or Apache Flink.
