The Open Network Foundation acts in the interests of the community by supporting initiatives that help achieve The Open Network's mission - putting crypto in every pocket. The Business Development team supports each of these three pillars, with an emphasis on adoption. Our work primarily focuses on three categories:
- Why teams should build on TON
- How teams can most effectively build on TON
- Supporting the continued success of teams in the ecosystem
We’re seeking a Director of Business Development - a dynamic individual capable of orchestrating strategic deals, partnerships, and creative operational strategies to engage with a wide variety of potential partners to develop a vibrant ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a global team of high performing deal professionals and work with senior management to pave the way for your teams’ success
- Develop and maintain relationships with strategically important players, ranging from exchanges and custody providers to other blockchains and protocol developers, including a deep knowledge of the crypto ecosystem in and around layer 1 and layer 2 protocols
- Develop relationships and drive strategic alignment with management and BD executives from external ecosystem teams
- Oversee and drive deal execution, including end-to-end responsibility for lead generation, engagement, evaluation, contract structuring, and negotiation
- Partner with the Foundation’s operations team to build an ecosystem of service providers and partners that serves thousands of community members and contributors
- Collaborate with internal cross functional stakeholders to ensure compliant execution of deals (Compliance, Legal, and Finance)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience leading business development in Web 2 and Web 3
- Strong connections to key Web3 players
- In-depth understanding of Web3 concepts and the wider Blockchain industry
- A proven network and deal-making experience in Web3
- Ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization (both internally and externally)
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence (EQ), and ability to persuade / drive alignment among differing perspectives both internally and externally
Bonus points for
- Additional language capabilities (e.g. Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, SEA-based languages)
- Strong presence in crypto communities, social media (Twitter, etc.), and/or maintaining a crypto focused blog
