DevOps Engineer

TON Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting the growth of the TON Blockchain and its ecosystem. Founded in Switzerland in 2023 and backed by a global community, the Foundation empowers developers, creators, and businesses through grants, technical resources, and strategic partnerships. TON operates as a decentralized, open-source network, independent of centralized control and open to contributions from all.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to build and maintain the platforms, tooling, and delivery processes that enable safe, efficient, and reliable deployment of applications and services. This role focuses on infrastructure as code, cloud and Kubernetes operations, CI/CD, automation, and developer enablement, while continuously improving delivery speed, deployment safety, and overall platform maintainability.
Responsibilities
Improve the scalability, maintainability, and delivery of our PaaS solutions with things like:

Improve the maintainability of our IaC (infrastructure as code)

Lifecycling and maintenance of our Kubernetes clusters

Manage the lifecycle of our development, staging, and production environments

Own and continuously improve our CI/CD and deployment pipelines, monitoring, and alerting capabilities

Continuously improve release processes, deployment safety, and rollback capability

Maintain access controls, secrets, and core platform security standards

Optimize cloud infrastructure, capacity, and cost efficiency across the estate

Build internal tooling and automation to improve developer experience and self-service

Prepare infrastructure and environments for load testing across our production estate

Lead infrastructure migration initiatives across cloud environments and platform services

Support Engineering on their journey to deliver better software, faster and more safely

Participate in the on-call rota and support platform incidents, deployments, and operational issues
Requirements

Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster administration and scaling

Proficiency with CI/CD systems and secret management across AWS and GCP
-
Experience with AWS and GCP, including infrastructure optimization and resource efficiency

Experience with infrastructure as code and automated infrastructure management

Strong Linux and scripting skills for platform automation and troubleshooting

Good understanding of platform security, access controls, and operational best practice

Ability to work closely with engineering teams to improve delivery, reliability, and developer experience
