We are hiring an AML/Compliance Specialist to support our anti-money laundering and fraud prevention efforts, with a strong focus on collaborating with legal, product, and finance teams. This role will play a critical part in ensuring our onboarding processes are compliant, secure, and effective in managing financial crime risk.
Responsibilities:
AML & Compliance
- Perform user and partner due diligence (KYC/KYB).
- Conduct ongoing monitoring, PEP/sanctions screening, and internal reporting.
- Support development and documentation of AML policies and procedures.
- Work with legal to ensure onboarding flows and compliance controls meet EU/UK/US regulatory expectations.
Fraud Prevention
- Monitor user activity and financial transactions for fraudulent behavior.
- Investigate alerts and anomalies, escalating high-risk cases.
- Collaborate with product teams to define and tune fraud detection rules.
- Help optimize onboarding and identity verification flows to balance risk and user experience.
- Assist in managing internal tools for fraud flags, manual review queues, and automated risk scoring.
Who we are looking for
- 3+ years of experience in fraud operations, AML/CTF compliance, or regulatory risk.
- Working knowledge of KYC/KYB processes, transaction monitoring, and identity verification.
- Familiarity with AML and fraud regulations (e.g., AMLD5/6, UK MLR, OFAC, FATF).
- Experience working with internal risk dashboards or third-party vendors (e.g., Sumsub).
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a startup environment.
