Wallet in Telegram is a digital asset solution natively embedded into Telegram’s interface. Backed by The Open Platform, Wallet in Telegram gained 100M+ user accounts in 2024, and aims to make its solution available to all 1BN+ of Telegram’s users. Wallet in Telegram offers a dual-wallet experience with Crypto Wallet (a multi-chain wallet for trading and sending crypto to contacts) and TON Wallet (a self-custodial wallet with access to the TON ecosystem of dApps and tokens).
Now we are seeking a Backend/Fullstack Engineer in our Core team. Our team build most of the things you see on main page of wallet. We’re looking for a product-oriented engineer with strong backend skills, curiosity for frontend, and the autonomy to drive work forward - from clarifying requirements with product to coordinating with other teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build one of the world’s most heavily used crypto wallets. We care about delivering a best-in-market product with near-native UX for users within the Telegram ecosystem.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, teammates, and other teams to clarify requirements and contribute ideas and improvements.
- Design and implement cost-efficient solutions. While you will work on backend tasks, our backend experts will provide guidance and support.
- Improve backend performance to meet the company’s latency and performance standards.
What you should have:
- Make well-reasoned engineering decisions with a focus on product delivery and fast iterations.
- Demonstrate product thinking and a genuine interest in what you build.
- Senior-level Python backend experience (any stack).
- Some frontend experience (any framework) or a strong willingness to learn and contribute to frontend development (our frontend is built on React).
- Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy.
- Self-awareness and a desire for continuous improvement.
- Ability to realistically evaluate task complexity.
- Openness to discussion and consideration of opposing viewpoints.
- English level B1+.
