Wallet in Telegram is a digital asset solution natively embedded into Telegram’s interface. Backed by The Open Platform, Wallet in Telegram gained 100M+ user accounts in 2024, and aims to make its solution available to all 1BN+ of Telegram’s users. Wallet in Telegram offers a dual-wallet experience with Crypto Wallet (a multi-chain wallet for trading and sending crypto to contacts) and TON Wallet (a self-custodial wallet with access to the TON ecosystem of dApps and tokens).
We are looking for a Country Manager to lead our expansion and operations in Uzbekistan.
This executive role combines growth leadership, business development, and operational excellence. You will drive user adoption, scale the brand’s presence, manage partnerships, oversee compliance, and represent the company in the local market.
You will act as the primary owner of the Uzbekistan PnL and lead all aspects of the country’s performance - from market launch to sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to grow user acquisition, engagement, and retention, scaling the brand’s footprint to achieve strong market presence and adoption.
- Build and manage relationships with key ecosystem players, including Asterium, Octabank, financial institutions, regulators, and local partners.
- Manage local PnL, ensuring efficient resource allocation with a focus on profitability and sustainable growth.
- Collaborate closely with the Director / MLRO on compliance and government relations.
- Serve as the company’s local spokesperson in PR, events, and public engagements.
- Establish and lead the local office, building a high-performance team and strong culture.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in fintech, crypto, digital payments, or banking, ideally within a high-growth tech startup environment.
- Proven track record of launching and scaling products or markets from 0 → 1.
- 3+ years of hands-on product or program management experience with end-to-end ownership.
- Deep understanding of the Uzbekistan market, including user behavior, regulation, and ecosystem.
- 10+ overall work experience, including leadership experience in dynamic, fast-moving environments (start-ups, consulting, fintech, e-commerce, ride-hailing).
