Wallet in Telegram is a digital asset solution natively embedded into Telegram’s interface. Wallet in Telegram offers a dual-wallet experience with Crypto Wallet (a multi-chain wallet for trading and sending crypto to contacts) and TON Wallet (a self-custodial wallet with access to the TON ecosystem of dApps and tokens).

We are looking for a strategic technology leader to head our Data Engineering function and bring our data platform to the next level of scale, reliability, and intelligence. In this role, you will lead our Data Engineering team, own the architecture and evolution of our data platform, and drive AI-powered automation across data pipelines and operations. You will partner closely with Analytics, ML, Product, and Finance — enabling them to move faster on a platform you own.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Build, lead, and scale the Data Engineering team — own hiring, performance, and technical growth.

• Data Platform Strategy & Architecture: Define and execute the long-term vision for our data platform across DWH, ingestion, transformation, streaming, and serving layers. Own architectural decisions, scaling, and reliability.

• AI Transformation: Apply AI/LLMs to automate pipeline development, data quality, anomaly detection, and schema management across the stack. Build internal AI tools that let employees query and explore data in natural language, without SQL or engineering support.

• Marketing Data Infrastructure: Own the pipelines powering attribution, segmentation, and campaign optimization — giving marketing and growth teams reliable, real-time, well-modeled data to act on.

• Real-Time & Streaming Data: Build and scale low-latency infrastructure for trading, payments, and risk-critical workloads.

• Reliability & Governance: Set the bar for data quality, lineage, observability, SLAs, and governance across the company.

• Stakeholder Partnership: Be a trusted partner to Analytics, ML, Product, Finance, and Marketing — giving them a self-service, well-governed platform to build on.

Requirements:

• Data Management Excellence: Proven track record of building and managing robust DWH architectures.

• Leadership Experience: Experience leading cross-functional teams (engineers + analysts).

• Technical Depth: Deep understanding of ClickHouse, dbt, and modern data engineering practices.

• MarTech Proficiency: Understanding of marketing technology and experience in automating analytics to drive growth.

• AI Vision: A forward-thinking mindset with a practical interest in applying AI/LLMs to analytical and operational workflows.

• Industry Context: Experience in or a strong passion for the Crypto/FinTech industry.
