Wallet in Telegram offers a dual-wallet experience with Crypto Wallet (a multi-chain wallet for trading and sending crypto to contacts) and TON Wallet (a self-custodial wallet with access to the TON ecosystem of dApps and tokens).

We're now seeking a Regulatory and Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance team in Uzbekistan. This role combines regulatory compliance, legal support, AML/CFT oversight, and corporate governance responsibilities for our NAPP-licensed crypto business. You will act as a key point of contact for regulators and law enforcement authorities while supporting the company’s legal, contractual, and compliance framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and make decisions on escalated suspicious activity cases, including SAR/STR assessments and reporting.

  • Ensure timely and accurate SAR/STR submissions and maintain reporting quality standards.

  • Manage regulatory and law enforcement requests, coordinating with internal stakeholders and ensuring complete, accurate, and timely responses.

  • Maintain records and audit trails for regulatory and law enforcement interactions.

  • Act as the primary legal point of contact for day-to-day business operations.

  • Liaise with NAPP and other government authorities, supporting regulatory inquiries, inspections, and reporting obligations.

  • Draft legal opinions, regulatory responses, and official correspondence.

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain commercial contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, service agreements, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and other legal documentation.

  • Support corporate governance matters, including corporate records, shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, company registrations, and corporate structure changes.

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including review, negotiation, execution, storage, renewal, and termination.

  • Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risks, legal obligations, and dispute resolution matters.

  • Support AML/CFT-related legal interpretation, internal policies, and compliance processes.

  • Provide legal guidance for new products, features, and business initiatives.

  • Monitor changes in Uzbek legislation and assess their impact on the business.

  • Identify legal and regulatory risks and propose practical, business-oriented solutions.

Requirements:

  • Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized university.

  • 3+ years of legal experience, preferably within fintech, crypto, financial services, technology, or other regulated industries.

  • Strong knowledge of Uzbek corporate law, including company registration procedures and corporate governance requirements.

  • Proven experience independently drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing commercial agreements.

  • Solid understanding of Uzbekistan's regulatory environment, including AML/CFT and compliance requirements.

  • Experience interacting with regulators, government authorities, or external stakeholders.

  • Working knowledge of Uzbek civil, tax, labor, and administrative law relevant to commercial operations.

  • Strong legal drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic understanding of digital products, fintech, or crypto services.

  • Based in Uzbekistan or willing to relocate to Tashkent.

  • Professional proficiency in Uzbek and Russian, with working proficiency in English.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience within cryptocurrency, fintech, payments, banking, insurance, or other regulated industries.

  • Experience working with NAPP or other Uzbekistan regulatory authorities.

  • Knowledge of digital asset regulation and crypto compliance requirements.

  • Experience with cross-border contracts, intercompany structures, and international legal frameworks.

  • Knowledge of data protection, advertising, and consumer protection regulations.

  • Experience with contract management systems or legal technology tools.
